The MIMR summer practicum pulled back the curtain on working at a multilateral. It provided me with invaluable mentorship and real-world experience in the humanitarian-development nexus, climate-related displacement, and donor engagement in Africa. Being in Kenya, a country with rapidly-evolving refugee policy, pushed me to be a more critical thinker in the classroom and reaffirmed my commitment to service through my career.
